“Photography is the universal language”

The photography program is a 10-week-long program that teaches visual storytelling to the participants and provides them with an artistic outlet to express themselves. The program will equip participants to document and showcase issues that require immediate attention and drive the necessary social change.

 

The photography program will cover the following topics:

 

  • Camera basics and camera controls
  • Camera techniques
  • Shots and camera angles
  • Understanding exposure and light
  • Photography as an art

We would like to acknowledge the traditional territories of the peoples of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot First Nation tribes of Siksika, the Piikuni, the Kainai, the Stoney Nakoda First Nations tribes of Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley and the Tsuut’ina First Nation.
