Elda Almario

Born and raised in the Philippines, Elda moved to Canada in 2018, bringing with her years of experience in psychotherapy, having worked with children, youth, and families, who have experienced behavioural concerns, life transitions, addiction, and mental health conditions. Currently, she runs Laro Therapy, a psychotherapy practice, in the city of Pickering. She has a special interest in working with Autistic children and youth, and the Filipino community.
As a Member of the ACSC Advisory Board, Elda provides her expert input and reviews on how we can integrate Mental Wellness into our programs and workshops. She wishes to make a change in our community by creating spaces and opportunities for people to engage in individual and collective healing. She finds it refreshing to work with youth as they are curious, inquisitive, and generally know how to have fun.
She loves spending her free time outdoors – hiking, running, biking, hanging out with her family, travelling and exploring. To maintain her personal Wellness, she goes back to the basics – making sure she has enough sleep, eats healthy, maintains an active lifestyle and stays connected with meaningful relationships.
